AGILITY SIGNS CONFLUENCE PHILANTHROPY’S 2020 “BELONGING PLEDGE” FOR RACIAL EQUITY

Denver, September 28, 2020 – Agility signed Confluence Philanthropy’s “Belonging Pledge” for racial equity, as one of more than 100 investors representing over $1.85 trillion in AUM. Tamara Larsen, Executive Director of Mission-Aligned Investing at Agility, was a panelist at Confluence’s Belonging Pledge Town Hall on September 28, a virtual Town Hall to support signatories in deepening their commitments to investing with a racial equity lens.

The day-long forum was a unique opportunity for shared learning and small group workshops, where participants and panelists offered perspectives, engaged in dynamic discussions, and committed to actionable goals focused on addressing racial equity within the asset management industry.

Ms. Larsen was one of four panelists who delivered the Town Hall’s plenary, “Stirring Up Some Good Trouble,” which focused on sharing experiences and perspectives regarding barriers to increased representation of black professionals in senior investment leadership roles. She was joined by Akasha Absher (Principal and President, Syntrinsic Investment Counsel), Lisa Hayles (Investment Manager, Trillium Asset Management), and Ivy Jack (Head of Equity Research, NorthStar Asset Management).

“Agility is proud to have participated in Confluence Philanthropy’s Belonging Pledge Town Hall,” Ms. Larsen stated, “If we all do what we can―and as much as we can―to advance racial equity in the asset management industry and in our daily lives, the ripple effects will be profound.”
